We all made it safely but the day was definately not uneventful. The transport broke down on the way to get Levi. We didnt leave until early afternoon. We werent allowed to follow them so we headed out on our own. About 45 min in Anjie had shredded tire. We found our way to a shop in Wallace where a nice man named Jimmie put a used tire on for us and refused to accept payment. It continues to amaze me that God wants to build our faith more more through these events. Around 530 we made to the NICU at UNC to meet up with Levi. He did well on the trip. They started doing some baseline tests so we should start getting answers tomorrow. One of the Neuro team came by tonight. She suggested that there will not be a rush to put permanent hardware such as a shunt in. That would be the last resort. If anything it looks like he will be held for evaluation a possibly a spinal tap to relieve some pressure. We should get to meet with the head Neurologist tomorrow. Thanks for all of your prayers and we will update as we go. BTW we are at the Ronald Macdonald houe so thats one more door that was opened.

Thank you once again Trent for your update.I know it is very trying at this point.Just take a breath or two,and try to see things in a positive manner. You two need each other very much at the point .As they do test on Levi go to God together and rest in he love .You can use some comfort right now from each other too.Remember you aren't alone baby we are rooting on the same team you are and the Lord is all for you just keep your faith strong.Don't let the devil have any of your joy of Levi,or Anjie. You are a good and faithful family, that's worth all you have done to keep on going to the finish, too when you and Anjie go home. And that is right around the corner. We love you and good night.
ReplyDeleteWas coming back from a service visit in Rose Hill and saw a UNC ambulance - thought it was later than expected but hypothesized that it may be Levi...now, based on your events described above I think it was very probable...I saw them about 2:15 between here and Burgaw I think...
ReplyDeleteYou'll find a different environment at these larger/teaching hospitals, and it will be a positive experience. Oh - there are some good folks in Wallace - I'm glad the guy you found let the Lord work through him!
